how do you feed fruit?

chams are triggered by motion, so putting in a bowl of salad comfuses me...... how about a vivicator?

some chams will eat it from a bowl, most will not. its always worth a shot to try that first.


but the way i did it was to trick the cham at first. i was able to hand feed all my chams, so i got to the point where i could just pinch my fingers together and they would want to fire.

but i always had a small piece of veggie then the cricket on top of the veg. dangle the crick and get the cham interested. then at the last second change the angle of the two items so they think they are firing at the crick but you moved the veg there instead>>>>

lol its a tricky one, with my female i used to wiggle the piece of salad between my fingers and she wud sometimes take it after about 5 mins of checkin it out lol, my male on the other hand just isnt interested in it at all.

my ladies are bowl eaters. I put a few small pieces of whatever in a small bowl and they check it out. Yummmm Male is strictly a meat eater.

Mine eats it off the side of the "cup" which I use to cup feed him. E.g. I push a banana onto the edges of it so he can bite at it etc. Same with apples and others. Mine also eats some greens off of the vines etc.

I hang lettuce on the side of the cage with fishing line and then i put bananas and strawberries on sticks and stick them into the pots so they sit standing up.

i put a blueberry in but she doesn't really care. oh well
