Hello evreyone how do you disinfect work background for my cage awhile ago my veailed chameleon passed away he was realy sick and I think wild caught i don't want anny of the things that caused his death affecting my upcoming chameleon

For disinfecting your last cage, you'll have to take it apart; completely. If it's a reptibreeze, just take everything out and unscrew the panels; so that they're individual, like you bought it.

Then (sorry parents!!) put everything into the bathtub. Fill the tub with hot water and a 10% bleach solution (1 capful bleach to 1 gallon water). Put everything in the tub until covered, and let it soak 30min/1hr. Then take everything outside and rinse it with a hose; super duper good, until you can't smell bleach. Let everything dry in the sun and you should be able to re-use the cage.

I use veterinary disinfectants, like F 10. For general use, I use it at a dilution strength of 1:500. If I know there’s something nasty I’ll dilute at 1:250 or even 1:100. I let it sit for about 30 minutes and then rinse.
I believe some use steam cleaning.
