How do i stop flys from getting in cricket bin?

Only if I don't clean it. Have roaches right by there bin never get them in roaches. So if I don't clean every 5 days stinks and flies

I was wondering if they weren't phorid flies. Larvae can look like tiny grains of rice.
I got those in my roach bin once when things got too moist/wet.

Solution was to dry things out; replace egg cartons and clean out any frass.
Maybe ventilate the bin a little better.

Ive been experiencing those jerky flies recently since one of the suppliers supply was wiped out from the flood here in New York and New Jersey And everyone has been buying them from another supplier.I’m at my wits end.

@7UP ...those phorid flies are hard to get rid of. They are also able to get past the gasket on your fridge, into egg containers where they will lay their eggs, reproduce fast. They're also hard to get rid of because we have to feed the feeder insects so they are attracted to the food and because we have moisture in the cages.
