How cold

Can jacksons be kept outside in soCal.. They would be protected from the elements. I'm just worried about the cold. I live near Disneyland and the weather can get down to 40F.

i think 40 is getting a bit too cold. i am in canada so outside isnt an option for me most of the time, but from what i have read on here most seem to bring their chams in when nighttime temps start falling below 60.

Jacksons can handle much cooler temps than their sun loving relatives. I dont know about 40 degrees but down to 50 degrees easily, Hopefully some of the more experienced montane keepers will chime in here.

With heat lamps the temps should stay pretty warm at night and during the day right?

like i said in your last thread, they shouldnt be housed together.. the min cage size for an adult jackson's is 18x18x36, so your best bet is to get or make two of those and make sure they cant see eachother. chameleons are mostly solitary and only come together for breeding, but if the female doesnt wanna breed, or is pregnant, the presence of the male will stress her out too much..
