I think male gracefuls have a spur, but it's hard to tell when they're young. Then there's always the hemipenal bulge, but that can also be difficult to identify at a young age.

Okay, this is unrelated to the question at hand, but....the subject had ALL kinds of weird images popping up in my mind.

I would agree about the hemipenal bulge, but not so much on youngsters
