How can I prevent overwatering

Science Lesson!

Wilting means lack of water, the water in the vacuole makes up most of the plant cell. Due to the water pressure not being high enough for the cell wall to keep the plant upright, the plant will start to wilt.
While this is true, root-rot can cause wilting just as easily: if the roots rot, they don’t deliver water to the foliage. An overwatered plant whose roots are rotting will wilt too.

I had a problem with my ficus dropping leaves at first and also my pothos drooping. I thought I was over watering, Then it hit me I’ve grown pothos in water with no soil at all so I tried to water more and it worked. so even with all the misting going on and the little extra I was giving on the side it still wasn’t enough for those plants in that environment. I also have 15000 lumens, a linear fluorescent and 75w day glow on my ficus.
