Ok i was wondering what amount people typically order for a cham around the age of mine hes now eatting 10-11 1/4in crickets a day.So i figured i get 1000 but then i didnt know if they would last 3months cuz 10x30=300month times 3months would be 900 crickets.. but i was worried they wouldnt last...

If you keep them right the can last 8 weeks or so... But he should be eating more around 15 a day... Most people will order bulk around 500 to 1000, I personally order 500 1/2 for my five month old panther

ok feeding is hard i hear diff amount each day...but ill bump up his dinner and see if he eats more..thanks

I would get 500 at the time and I buy here: Lazy H Bait in Labelle, FL. (863) 675-3109. Nice people and a great price.

Don't feed late afternoon or evenings. They need plenty of time under the lights to digest their food. He should be eating tons at his age.

jann are u my chams guardian angel ahahaha:D... always good advice and yes i actually ive seen i believe yourself and other mention that bait shop i have there number programmed in my phone and im calling today..thank you.. i just posted a thread on my gutloading...Ive been gutloading with apples/oranges/romaine lettuce/sweet tatters for right now, im going to either make my own or order a dry gutload too. right now the crickets are in a larger size cricket keeper thing just cuz i havnt been buying a big amount but i did get a large rubbermaid tub for my big order.

well just placed order from lazy h few hours ok it was 18? but i still think that is very good and they were super nice!

And make sure to remove dead crickets and clean the container very regularly or it will get very smelly very fast. I use a small shop vac that is dedicated to that purpose only.
I also use paper towel rolls with all paper towel removed in the cricket tub- this makes it real easy to get them in the bag when you are dusting them with supplements - which I use even though I gutload the crickets with fresh veggies and a dry mix also.
