housing male pygmies together question?

Can you house 2 male pygmies together? I know that people usually house 1 male and 2 females together...

Simple answer: Depends on how big your enclosure is. Generally it's not good to do this, it stresses them very much wheater they could should it or not

I don't have any now but I was thinking about it down the road, I have a glass enclosure that is 18x18x24, I don't think that would be big enough for two males, and I wont house two males together if it is not good for them, I just didn't know about pygmies since a male can be housed with females...

I have heard that you can house 2 males together in a well planted 55g, and thats pushing it.

They may be small, but they are still dominant creatures..i witnessed a male shoving another with his body and keeping him from getting where he wanted to go. I would Not go any smaller than a 55 as someone said..and event hen, it would have to be well planted to give space and hiding..Why not just get 2 10 gallons and a breeding pair in each?

Good point. If you have breeding pair in the same, you dont know who fathered what and you can get inbreeding. Good point!
