Housing juvenile chameleons together?

Im new to chameleons and ive been looking at getting some panthers. I want to get a 3 month old female and 3 month old male and i was wondering if i could house them together for a little bit till i get another cage?

Sorry if its a dumb question.

It is not recommended to house panther chameleons together. They can and often do become aggressive toward eachother. One usually becomes dominant over the others and will take all the food, light and heat and the others normally become weak and ill. With both male and female together they will mate shortly, way before they are old enough to be mated. When I had babies I had to seperate the aggressive little ones way before they were two months old. Hope this helps. Jann

i agree with jann on this if they grew up together since hatchlings i'd say it would be ok for a bit till you can get another cage. I do have success with my veiled sisters they are housed together still and they get along fine. but don't do it if you can't keep an eye on them very often.

If you were to keep them together and they reached sexual maturity while they were still together they would almost certainly mate and if the female wasn't full grown she would then have to deal with putting nutrients into her eggs that should be growing her own body.
