Housing a baby veiled

:D I am hoping to get a 12 wk old baby veiled at the weekend. Do I need to set up the cage any differently to a set up for an adult? Lily was 6 months old when I got her, so I haven't housed a baby cham before! I want to make sure that I don't miss anything that's obvious! Any tips will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Normally not. You can house it at the beginning in a smaller cage, but that isn't necessary. Always care for perfect supplementation and water supply.

Na I don't think so. Isambard was 12 weeks old when I got him and I just housed him in a full sized cage with exactly the same layout as he has now at 10 months old, haven't had any problems with him thus far. The only mistake I made was not providing enough cover and he was a little bit nervous for a while but I soon corrected that.

I think the only reason people suggest a smaller cage is so they can find their food more easily. To rectify that problem I cut the bottom out of a milk bottle, punched two holes in the top and hung it off two zip ties on the side of the cage. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing solution but it's very effective.

Oh, and allow me to take this opportunity to show off baby Isambard. He's now a stroppy teenager of course but still pretty chilled, for a chameleon anyway! they grow up so fast :(:)

Edit: Oh Lilly died? :( what happened??
