So today it got kinda cold outside so I had to bump up the temperature but the only extra light I have is a crystal clear light I just wanted to know if it will cause problems for my little one.

No. All the basking light needs to do is provide heat. A regular house bulb like this should be fine. You do have a proper UV light as well, right?
