house flies...

Hey everyone!
Im trying to culture house flies..
I have catched 30 already...
anyone knows how can I culture them?
and also how to gutload the ones I get from them?
My cham really likes huting them around....

i did this a couple months ago. caught some flies and put a piece of chicken in with them. they laid their eggs the larva ate the chichen then they pupated for about a week or so. i cant tell you the best way to do it but this is how it happened with me. im sure some of the other members can help you out with alternatives or better ways of doin this.

This is interesting.... hope you don't mind me hijacking ur thread with questions!

Do you have to let them breed off before feedin them? they're proper dirty insects int they so surely they'd be carryin loads of nasty bacteria n that? how do you do that? know which ones not to feed??

I have never acctually cultures them myself. I belong to a mantis forum and some of the members culture their own flies. This is the forum http://mantidforum.net/forums/index.php?act=idx
