hot gluing branches

would it be ok to use hot glue to hold the branches and vines to the sides of the cage?

you best bet is to use push pins if it is a screen cage. That way if you want to move the branch for whatever reason it is super easy and you would not have to reglue. Plus I don't know how well the glue would hold. The push pins work great and are very secure. Secure the branches from the outside of the screen with the push pins.

i was gonna use the push pins but i dont have any, and by the time im ready to move it or replace the branches i plan on having a new bigger cage for them. i was just asking because i didnt know if it would be toxic or what.

well, I would just make sure that no glue is showing around the branch and the screen when you glue it just incase. I doubt a chameleon would eat it but you never know and why take the chance. I just don't know how secure it would be and you wouldn't want the branch coming undone with your cham on it and take the risk of him getting injured from a fall. Also, when you say "them" are you housing more than one chameleon in a cage?.

thats what i was thinking about it falling. il just go pick up some thumb tacks. and i didnt mean more than one when i said "them". i was just refering to when i do get one because i havnt gotten a cham yet. thanks for the info though.

ok that's good. Was not sure if you realized about housing chams seperately. i think the thumb tacks or push pins are a better idea. I have glued stuff with hot glue only to have it fall apart!!!

Hot glue is not toxic if you want to use it. I use it in my feeder jug with no ill effects

yeah i know about housing them separately. the glue seemed like a good idea, but i didnt think about them falling, especially since hot glue gets briddle after a while.
