Hornworms - too big?

I purchased some hornworms online. They arrived beautiful and my veiled (Lyza) loves them. But I can't keep up! They grow crazy fast and I don't want to overfeed her. I got about 30 and the remaining 10 or so are about 3" long and fat...as big as my pinky finger. She ate one a bit smaller, but not much smaller, and had to tilt her head back to get it down.

Question: Should I just call the big ones bird food now? Or keep giving them to her? (I live in Florida so there are plenty of things outside that'll munch em up if needed)

Hornworms do grow quicker than one would ever expect - I've kept chams for nearly 20 years, and still they never fail to amaze me with how fast they go from a good size, to perfect size, to woah! You can put them in the fridge to slow them down - I think you do that every other day for about 12 hours or so. Of course, the more fun answer is to get an adult male who is big enough to handle them as well! :ROFLMAO:
