Hornworm vs Crickets

I know for most crickets are a staple, but hornworms are way easier to gutload and grow pretty big and are a good source of water.

I gutload my hornworms with kale collard greens carrots thin pieces of green pepper and yam.

If gut loaded properly can hornworms be used as staple??

You're wise to gutload your feeders.
Your best bet is to feed as broad a variety of feeders as possible.

In the wild, chams eat dozens of different kinds of insects, which themselves are feasting upon a wide variety of food sources.

I fed him a hornworm once, and since then every time he sees one he runs away!
