Are you sure it is them that smells and not bad chow? Mine didn't smell.

Also try feeding them off as they are. If you have any real eaters like I do, they will be gone in a snap.

my female veiled can eat 10000 things in one day lol she can grub but I'm trying to cut her diet due to eggs. Sancho well he is picky as hell right now with the ONLY supers please thing going on.

I've never let a hornworm get to the moth stage, but I know my chameleon has never shown MORE interest in a feeder than he did for silkworm moths.

Nope I got them from Great Lakes. Glad to know that I will try to feed them off but if that doesn't work i'll just trash them.

If you do want to trash them, consider freezing them to death be4 throwing them away.

Being responsible in dumping your feeder will ensure all of us to have the same access to them. We want to avoid government banning horn worms; just like they ban roaches in Florida, sticks pretty much everywhere in the states, and veiled chameleons in Hawaii.

The smells are from rotting chow mixed with their poo (I believe they dump the last frass- esentially their gut dirty content- before pupating).
Take them out, dump the pod, put them on a deli cup and just wait until they hatch.
If you felt you don't want to deal with them, you can give them to me.

i could always use couple of moths for my veiled. he loved them.

I get your point, but they didnt ban roaches in FL i get them from my local pet store.

but, that was 1994.. requiring permit to sell roaches in Florida.
I knew technically nobody from outside Florida can ship roaches there.
So, I thought they kind of ban the roaches trade under the law there.
lol, perhaps I was wrong?

But, if you read the article, there is a case about african giant snail that cause infestation when the owner releases them into the wild alive.

I wouldn't as you can see from my post before

They smell though I'm going to let the 5 I have do their thing and try to feed them off if the chams don't like them then (rubber hammer) BAM! they are gone

2 - 3 months i think depending on the photo period.
if they have less than 12 h lights, they go into dormant state.
