horns worm grow so fast is it true refrigerating them with slow there growth?

I've heard that refrigerating them can kill them because it's too cold but you can take them away from their food like feed them every other day and also keep them cooler. Like if you have a room in your house that stays cooler I would keep them in there. I keep mine in the window sill. I live in Washington so it's pretty cold out and the cold air off the windows keeps them pretty cool and slow growing. I could be wrong about the fridge but I think that's just too cold.

Just get butter worms lol they last long in the fridge and my guy loves them

1 day in the refrigerator, 2 days out will slow them down without killing them. I wait until they are 1 inch long before I do the refrigeration process, they die if too small.
You can restrict food to slow them down, but if you forget them, they will cannibalize each other, nothing but green eyeballs everywhere.....
