Hornworm advice

So I am trying to offer some more variety to Zaphod. I see many use hornworms as a feeder. I am familiar to these guys from my gardening days (in NY), and my tomato plants had some monsters on them! I was wondering about the "horn" on the feeders. Is there any danger of injury from this? (for the cham, not me ) I was amazed at the spike on the end of the ones from the garden and was just wondering about the feeders. Zaphod is getting bigger and will be able to handle a larger feeder now, so I am searching for something other than supers. Thanks!

Oh, and the other one that has my attention is BB flies... anyone like using these? Thanks again!!!

The horn is actually soft to the touch, but make sure you don't feed any out of the garden! The toxins in the tomato leaves make the hornworm toxic.

Like said above, the horn is very soft so it doesnt actually poke or hurt them.

I like bb flies on occasion. They are more of a treat because they cant really be gutloaded with more than sugar, powdered milk, and bee pollen, but the chameleons absolutely love them! Its really neat to see a chameleon snatch one right out of the air!
