hi everyone :) im trying to figure out a homemade dripper that works right now, because the Zoo Med "Little Dripper" was $13  so if anyone has suggestions i would love to hear em :D and sorry ive had so many questions, im new to this :eek: :p

Search "Drippers" using the forums search feature, for several great ideas.

The easiest way would be to use a 32.oz Gatorade container, or equivilent and poke a pin hole in it, and away you go.

I use a 1 liter mt dew bottle with a small needle hole in the bottom with no lid. It works great and lasts a long time. If you buy the little dripper you have to adjust it as it empties, with a mt dew bottle its constantly the same flow.

I used to use 1 gallon milk jugs. I put a small hole in it so I could stick in a piece fish tubing. with a needle valve like they use on a fish tank. You can adjust the amount of water coming out and the total cost is about 1$. Also offer a lot of water on demand. The only reason I changed was I have an automated dripper system for all my cages.

Sorry my friend, he has updated his site. He used to show how to do it on there now I cant find it on his web page either. Sorry!

In case any of you guys havent seen Laurie's Cham monitoring control center....

Jay do you have to give away all my toys?? The only things I have automated are the drippers, the misters and the lights. I still have to feed, clean and watch and watch and so forth.

Awesome Laurie, maybe you can help me do my next set up make over. LOL :D I have the auto lights and misters but need the drippers.

hahaha! Hillarious :D I think that's what a lot of our wall plugs are starting to look like - between the lights, the timers, the heat pads with thermostats...

Man, this thread is really awesome and is helping me a lot. Right now I have a paper cup with a small hole in it and seems to be working just fine but the problem I do have with it is that it looks ghetto, lol! I think i'm going to go with the first idea in the thread and make it look really nice. :D Thanks guys!;)
