In about 5-6 weeks we're having our master bath completely renovated...a major concern I have is the exposure to construction dust within the house. As the heat kicks on and dust gets into and sent through the duct systems, its inevitable that some dust will get all over...just trying to think of ways to so that my cham is exposed to least amount as possible.

Try wrapping 2-3 sides in a shower curtain. Air still moves through but can be filtered. Or go the expensive route and buy an air filter to put over the rooms vents and leave the door closed.

I have 3 sides pretty much already covered to keep the mist/humidity in. Where the set up is theres no way to close any doors as its in a gallery/common type area thats between two bedrooms. I was actually contemplating shutting down the 3rd zone for the heat, have them use electric heaters where they're working...then turn it back on at night...i dunno..i just know the dust can/will irritate his eyes and airways.

Can you put filters on your house ductwork or the furnace? What about putting a filter over the heat vent in the room? What about using a free-standing air filter/cleaner in the room? That might help a lot, though during the renovations you may have to change them often. However, this is temporary, and unless you are dealing with lead paint, plastics or asbestos may not be terrible.

Theres one huge filter within the unit before the air gets put back into the house...Renovations are taking place through the door to the right...There are 2 registers(green dots) along with 1 of 3 returns(red dot) directly in this area...I can prob shut the two registers and divert air away to other areas. As well as move that small couch, swing the set up along the wall by the window, then tack a tarp up from the edge of that bump out to the wall making a partition in the room(black line).

You could tent off his area with the thin plastic sheeting painters use. Tape it to the ceiling and go out a few feet in each direction from his cage. I've been thinking about this as I'm planning a kitchen renovation.

Right thats what I'm prob gonna use, the clear tarp...if I swing the set up to the other wall he'll already have the 3 sides, i just then have to go straight across...this might be the winner lol

Change your air filter? Drape plastic curtains around the work area?

If there is that much dust, I wouldn't be running it through my furnace.

What about temporarily moving the enclosure into another room where you can close the door? I would think that leaving him where he is, putting up big scary tents, and all of the commotion of the workers right there would be far more stressful than moving the cage.
