Can i just use one of home depots plant and aquarium uvb light instead of the expensive repti ones?

No you need a 5.0 uvb light for your cham and you would probably want a 65000k plant light for your plant to grow faster.

You can use a 6500K color temp lamp along side of a reptisun. But it can not replace the UVB lamp. The 6500K lamp will help keep your plants alive, and provide more 'daytime' like light.

I agree and can second that, thanks to Kevin!! The 6500K make my plants grow like weeds and also put out a much nicer natural looking light than the plant and aquarium lights.
