Hey everyone!
So, Im adjusting everything for my little dante. (male veiled)
I want to make him feel 100% good.
I just have a little concern. I live in a very hot place. (near the mojave desert)
Right now my chameleon´s cage is downstairs. But theres no AC down.
Temperature is around 29 Celsius.
In daytime is not that warm because I have the AC on downstairs.
Is it too hot for him for a good rest? or is it ok for him?

The temperature sounds ok,it may prefer some humidity.
I have one right now who is on the top of a light fixture and is sleeping just fine,so its more than just warm to the touch.

That equates to about 84-85 degrees... Much to hot.. even to warm for an ambient during the day! But with ac during the day not to bad. And cooling him without to much moisture is tuff. A cool mist humidifer would be to dangerous as far as respritory infection.
Can u run an ac unit in.just that room? 65 is nominal under 75 is alright. I'd shoot for 70 if u can find a way..

Yeah that's too high for at night. I shoot for low 70's at night. The cooler the better and they can tolerate anything above 50. A drop of about 10 degrees from the ambient day temperature is recommended.

Should I move him upstairs where I have my AC on, during the nights?
AC is off during the day tho...

You're going to have to do whatever it takes to keep the temperature (and humidity) correct BOTH at night and during the day. If that means leaving the AC on wherever he is, then that's what you gotta do.

Veiled/Chamaeleo:
day basking spot up to 96.5F/36C (Non breeding females and Juveniles hottest spot should be kept at a lower temp, closer to 80F)
day cooler spot / ambient range 70-80F/21 -26C
night to a low of 60F/15.5C (Juveniles only down to 68F) and up to 75 /24 ( it should be cooler at night than in the day)

Ok, im moving him upstairs then. :)
It gets cooler in the nights.

and what about the misting? I have a mistking... how many times and for how long should I run it?

long enough and frequently enough that the humidity fluctuates within tolerable ranges, and that it gets enough to drink (white urates)

Great!
Soo... after a long day. I have finally finished moving the cage upstairs.
Right now he is in a nice and fresh weather :)

Mistking will be running 3 times at day. 5 minutes in the morning, 20 minutes midday, and 15 minutes in the afternoon.
What do you think about this?

Also.. What humidity % range should he have?

Thanks a lot, this has been very helpful!

What kind of cage do u have? A 20 minute mist seems like an awful lot to me! Is it an ultra fine mist?

I run it sometimes....
I didnt think it was necessary, because Im using mistking 3 times at day... and his feces looks "good and hydrated" and urates is white.
He has natural plants and a brick wall in the back that keep some humidity.
I just want to know what % should it be.
