High school sucks!

I am failing one class and am getting a D in another but that's it. Junior high was so much better what i'd give to go back. The only problem I have is adjusting. I can never even play outside, except fridays. The lunch is more expensive(never really have anything good in my house). They gave me three extra classes band, french 2, and art. I didn't even choose band. In junior high I did but they decided, oh didn't choose this class but we'll give it to him anyways. So thanks to that extra class I have half lunch period which is around twenty min, deduct the time in the line, maybe around fifteen minutes, which isn't actually all that bad. This is way to much for my first year, I think I'm gonna snap. Maybe it won't be hard in senior year but just coming from junior high this is a lot for me. Plus I'm flap meaning i have to come at class at 7:35.

ouch man that burns.... To be honest I"M auctually looking forward to go to high school :/ Well for the tennis team... what do you play in band?

Man i would love to be in band, Easy, I already play bass and guitar.

Would be fun, start drums, and we will for a band :p

CF Version of Tool :D

It gets good in high school, im grade 11.. and its gettin easy.. Easy math, its all repeat from 9 and 10 haha.. i picture it like.. gr 1 3 6 9 are hardest, the rest teaches you the same, atleast thats how it seemed.

French i dropped out of, and took another class, because i hated it, and my teacher was wayyy into my personal space, hugging me and stuff, she was a wierd old lady, so i changed to another science class, which was fun.

It gets better, In my opinion, they shouldnt be allowed to say you have to do a class, during lunch. You shouldnt have to do band either, cant you switch to p.e or something?

The adjustments from junior high to highschool is a bit rough on a feashmen.

i remember highschool the new kids got "froshed" basically held down and written on with permanent ink "fresh" on their body. they could even be stripped down to their boxers and written all over.

this happened not so often anymore.

art isn't so bad, its an easy class tbh, french *gay*...depending on were you live spanish is more of a help, and as for band..well its always good to play an instrument.

your required a certain amount of credit hours a semester, but you should still be able to pick your none core classes.... basically the alt classes.

we had automotive, shop, phys ed, art, ceramics, photo, and like several others...

freashmen year wasn't so bad on my end, junior and senior were kinda stupid,i lost some good friends that year.

Don't do drugs...all i need to say really, avoid the peer pressure, the "fun/feel good" aspect isn't worth it.

For me no it's not fun. There are only seven people and we all play brass except for one percussion. It's just extra weight on my shoulders.

First and foremost French isn't gay ,you just suck is all, just kidding:p but french is not gay. I'm hispanic and already know spanish. I'll give you my word I won't do drugs. Unless it's free, just kidding.;)

So quit. Its not worth the stress, you can get the credits some other way bud, otherwise you will waste your time, unless your gonna join a parade when your older.

Do... p.e, automotive, Anything..

I tried and they wouldn't let me, saying it was to late to switch, it was the second week. Automotive is a sophomore class. I'm pretty much helpless right now.

Lame man.

What instrument are you playing? i might be able to find a way to make it easier for you to learn :)

Trumpet, I already know how. I've been doing it for two years and I'm sick of it. The fine arts chairman goes" well you can learn how to play better and you'll get a credit, so why are you complaining''. I was so friggin pissed.

Ohh, that really sucks man.

Is it only for 1 semester you have to play? At our school theres 2 or 3 semesters, and we switch classes each time.

Hey, cheer up. Once you get to your later years you'll wish the other few went by more slowly.

Last year.. well, I had an odd story.
They put me in Drawing and Painting TWICE.

Err, long story short my parents said they would drop the class and have me take another online, instead. They said, oh no don't do that! Ended up getting it switched out.

It does get annoying, i agree. At concerts we sit all the way in the back which sucks. I have a concert up on October 1st.

High school will get better. The class thing with band, art, and french sucks. Sorry dude:(

At our school, there is me, darell, and anthony, i play bass, darelly plays acoustic, and anthony plays his electric guitar, were gonna get someone in the school to learn drums, and we will have a Concert :p

I heard drums is easy to play.. and learn! dunno if thats true though

Band concerts are fun, with brass instruments, if they play up beat.. i dont like when they play slow, peaceful music

Hope it goes by fast for you!

Wait, is your band class instead of pe? Like you get credits for pe, but you don't have to take pe? And you have to take atleast two years of a laguage to be able to get into college. And do you have a history class? Cause that may be why you have art.

What's your schedule? How many classes? They may not really be "extra."

I have biology first, have to come earlier than most people, p.e which is required at this school, english 1, french 2 I love this class though, art 1 it's ok at least I only have to draw, half lunch period and half freshman advisory, advisory is a period that gives some time to finish homework. Algebra 1, BAND! And last period is west civilization history.

All I have to say is:

1. Enjoy and take as many classes as you can while they're still free
2. Get as many dual enrollment classes (provided that they're available to you) as you can when you're a junior/senior. They're much cheaper, and it will be nice to go into college (if you do) with credits already.
3. Stay in school and don't work as long as you can, because once you start working, you'll never stop. Also, trying to mix school and work becomes really stressful and difficult.
