Hiding in the plants?

I have notice lately in the middle of the day he likes to hide in the bushes in his cage. Is this normal? Or is he trying to find a cooler spot? Please let me know thanks.

What kind of chameleon is it? And what are the ranges of your basking spot and cooler areas of the cage?

Mine take breaks during the day n will chill in the plants for alittle then back up to the basking spot. They like to roam the entire cage

hi, my panther chameleon likes to stay in his bushes after he has done some basking, sounds like normal behaviour. in the wild i supose it keeps them away from preditors.

my first question would be do you use a cfl or powersun, and have you actually measured (not guessed) your temps in his basking area ?
