Just thought I would say a quick hello to this amazing community! I have been keeping reptiles for about 5 years now.

I have 10 reptiles in my collection which includes 1.2 Veiled Chameleons, and 1.1 Jackson's Chameleons, 2.1 Green Basilisks, 1.0 Bearded Dragon, 1.0 Frilled Dragon.

In addition to keeping reptiles I run a local reptile boarding service. It's an amazing way to meet fellow reptile enthusiasts and experience caring for many species I would normally not get the chance to keep.

A huge passion of mine is building the biggest most natural enclosures that my limited house space will allow. I have mastered that art of fake rock wall backgrounds. All of my enclosures have them and I have also begun doing custom jobs for friends, my vet, and boarding clients.

Finally because my introduction to the reptile world was through a very sick bearded dragon...I run a mini reptile rescue and relocation.

I think thats about it...I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Cheers!

Welcome to our lil community! Your work looks great! I look forward to what you'll bring to us in the future! Again, welcome!

Hi Julia! Nice to see you on the Forums! You are so talented and your care and interest in reptiles is awesome! (Hey everyone - Julia is my reptile boarder, and resident lifesaver when I travel AND when I have questions about my guys that need immediate addressing. She also recommended her vet to me, who I have used exclusively since meeting her!) So glad you joined - this community can only benefit from your knowledge! :D

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I have been a active reader on CF for years...but hope to be much more active and help out as much as I can!

I love your beardie, ours passed away in Aug, and I am thinking that we should get another!!! Have his old tank and stuff to go in it!!! Would mean shuffling everyone!!! Four tanks in total!!!

I love all my reptiles but there is something very special about a bearded dragon! They all have such unique personalities and genuinely like to be handled and cuddled! You should get another, a lot of reptile rescues are full of adult beardies in need of a forever home!

The fake rock backgrounds do look pretty good I have to say and a frilled dragon, I'm a Cham man that's all I keep but every time I see a frillie I think about getting one there really interesting I'm sure one day I will invest

Frillies are great. Almost as much personality as a bearded dragon but more interesting to look at when they frill up. I think the biggest con to keeping them is that they require HUGE enclosures. This is a pic of my guy "Frankie"

Space won't be a issue as I'm having to build a monster shed for my parsons, from what I've seen one problem with them is when they get a cricket caught up in there frill the cricket scratches away and it killed someone's frillie I no as he never noticed it as the frill covered the cut so that's something to keep an eye on

Wow, thanks for the heads up, I will start checking his frill regularly! This is why I LOVE Chameleon Forums. Always learning something new!
