Chameleon Info:
  • Camino - Veiled, male, roughly 5 months. We have had him in our care for 2 months.
  • Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? Seldom. We spot clean his cage every day. And handle him about once a week. Not for very long, just to get him accustomed to us.
  • Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? Mostly crickets and BSFL. But super worms as treats. He’s also had mealworms and hornworms and a couple BSF. What amount? He will eat about 10 crickets a day now. Usually no more than that, unless they are tiny. What is the schedule? We feed once every day. In the morning. And usually a snack later in the day. (Maybe 2 or 3 crickets or a worm) How are you gut-loading your feeders? we dust all his feeders. And they are all gutloaded with fruits, veggies, cricket food, and super worm food. (Mustard greens, apples, bananas, carrots, lettuce)
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? sticky tongue farms Calcium for 6 days a week. Zoo Med Cal with d3/ Exo terra multivitamin every other week. (Saturday’s) (Rotating these two, not both at same time. So each is once every two weeks. Dust all feeders for that day.
  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? Purified water. In a manual mister and soon to be drip system. How often and how long to you mist? A few times a day. About 3. And for a minute or two each time. Do you see your chameleon drinking? We’ve seen him drink a couple times.. but not often do we catch him licking the leaves.
  • Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? Not been tested yet. Feces is normal looking. Usually dark brown with white tip. Solid, but not too dry. Looks healthy. Poops once a day, every day lol.

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? Glass, with screen top. (Bigger screen cage otw) currently in a 18x18x24. New cage is 24x24x48 screen cage;) I got this y’all. We are new at being reptile parents but we did our research.
