Hey all - new here :)

Well, I'm not entirely new to reptiles, but I am definately new to chameleons. I've always been intrigued by them and having bought a house this year and started a reptile room, the boyfriend has decided that he wants chameleons. We've been doing lots of research and have found a pretty good deal (for Canada anyway - I envy you guys in the States for all of the amazing prices you have!) 2 5 month old veileds with all equiptment for $175. I'm here to do some more research though, as I feel you can never do enough and there is always something new to learn. The other critters I keep are 2 dogs (1 pit bull, 1 miniature poodle) 3 cats, 4 leopard geckos, 2 bearded dragons, 1 saharan uromastyx, 2 curly tailed lizards, 1 cordylus cataphractus, and 1 marbled gecko. I am planning to breed my leos in the '10 season, mostly for myself, as I plan on keeping most of the babies.

So, I look forward to taking advantage of this wonderful forum and all of the information, and to meeting the people that keep it going :)

Yay! Another Canadian!

I've checked out your website a few times in the past, do you ever make your way down to the Montreal expo? You've got some beautiful animals!

Heres some pictures of my critters:

Rowan1.jpg

Rowan - my uromastyx, he looks better now that his cape of shedding skin has come off! lol

gecko3.jpg

Haiku - Marbled Gecko, we got him for free, hes over 7 years old. I don't take him out cause hes evil.... Just cleaning the tank is an adventure...

LeoGecko6.jpg

Thelma & Louise - the two first leopard geckos I got. They've gained some weight since this picture, and the shed on Louise has come off.

Bonnie2.jpg

Bonnie - bought at the Oct 09 reptile expo in MTL.

Clyde2.jpg

Clyde - also bought at the Oct 09 expo

Round 2 of pictures:

Turbo1.jpg

Turbo - we've had him for 2.5 years and we love him to pieces, hes just like a dog! Hes almost 20" long.

Gallileo2.jpg

Gallileo - the new beardie we rescued... Look at that horrid tail :( poor guy, he also seems to have a jaw deformity, but he gets around and eats just fine. This is him getting what was probably his first bath a few days after we got him... He also had some butternut squash that day and oh man was he appreciative.

RenStimpy3.jpg

Ren - Curly tail lizard bought at 09 expo

Welcome from another Canadian.

That seems like a good deal on the 2 veileds. Does that include 2 cages because you WILL need seperate cages.

Nice pics too!

No, it includes one cage. But we do plan on building a second one. According to the seller, the two chams are getting along okay - but at 5 months, its not likely they've reached sexual maturity, so thats probably why. we have a large exo terra tank that will serve a purpose (probably of about 1 week) until we get the second enclosure done. :)

Welcome to the forums. Very nice pets!!! The veileds should have been seperated between 2 and 3 months.
