Ok so I have an adolescent veiled named wiggie he leans under his basking lamp its not just one side and he seems to be healthy. He moves around and eats...I dont know if the leaning is a normal thing for them as I am new to raising these little guys

hes probably trying to get more heat all over his body. mine will lean as well unless i have the lamp at a good angle.

Well thats good I know that they can be kind of tempermental while young...
Have you ever heard of anyone to use a ceramic heater like house type to warm a cage from a distance is that safe to do

maybe hes just gangsta.

its normal for them to do this when basking :) enables them to show more body mass for heat absorption.

Yes, those are a very good idea for keeping your cage warm, particularly if you let your house get very cold at night.

Do remember that they benefit from a drop in temperatures at night(it lets them get into a really deep sleep) so don't add the extra heat unless your house gets uncomfortably cold (below 60 is what most people say, I would say below 50).
