So sorry to hear you lost him.:( It's a horrible feeling to lose a cham. They just get right into your heart and they really are part of the family. Thinking of you. Tiff x

Not at all. However if you use the same cage, really really really clean it well just in case Vert died from something that could be passed on.

I didn't get another chameleon after my first for a good 9 months, but it was because my mom is totally against shipping animals and I had to wait for the show to come around.

ok i was planning on washing his cage with bleach and get it nice and clean and repot his plants and wash em good. How should i wash the biovine?

I'm not really sure... I pour really really hot water on mine as I never figured out how to clean them any better... I've also tried using vinegar as thats what I use to clean my guinea pigs' cage, though I'm not sure how effective that is...

No it's not bad. I felt exactly the same way after Lily died. I was going to wait a while and maybe find a Carpet cham. As it turned out we all missed Lily so much I got Amy within a week or so. Chams become so much part of your daily routine that when they are no longer around it's very strange without them and the house feels so empty. When you feel up to it, getting another shouldn't make you feel guilty. You can't replace the one you lost but a new cham can definitely start to fill the gaping hole that the other one left behind.

thank you guys i miss misting him and feeding him already i just love veiled chams i think i might get an older one from FLChams thats where vert came from and i like what i hear about them i got vert when he was 2 months old and i think that was just too young i might get a 4 month old male in a few weeks
