they have been placed on a warmed up waterbottle in a nursery with warm light and sandy floor. but now what will they want for first meal. they are very small.

less panic about the house when my daughter was born.

Hi Dave, we need a little info. What just hatched? Care for all chams is not the same. Where are you located? Might be some local person with supplies of food to share.

Veiled/yemem

Two little yemem/ veiled chams bit of a panic third on the way not sure what to do put them in a viv with a recomeded bulb and heat mat same conditions as my male and female chams, what can i feed them a local pet store has suggested small crickets and how soon do they need to eat after hatching.

we are located rossendale near burnley.

Hello, welcome to the forum :) If you have a good uvb tube and an enclosed viv they probably won't need a basking bulb or heat mat at all. Chams don't usually stay on heat mats anyway. For a first meal then pinhead crickets are fine, as are fruit flies. They will want a surprisingly large amount to eat as babies, but might take a day or two to get started (they still have some nutrients from the egg).
Here is a great all-round caresheet for Veileds - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/chameleonsinmyhouse/395-veiled-chameleon-care-sheet.html

David,
thanks for that I can now stop panicing.
now i know they will survive whilst i look for food.
and thanks for the care sheet.
Dave.
