Current Problem - his tounge isnt functioning right and he grabs his tail with his legs sometimes and thats all

tongue is slapping the cricket. are the crickets heavily dusted? is his tongue doing this after the first few crickets?

lightly dust every feeding with plain calcium.

pics of the cham?

would like to especially see a pic of him grabbing his tail.

Yu said..."his tounge isnt functioning right and he grabs his tail with his legs sometimes and thats all"...sounds like a calcium issue to me. A vet could test its levels.

It would be good if you knew the temperature because if its been too cool all along it wouldn't be able to digest its food properly nor absorb the nutrients properly either.

Phos.-free calcium should be used at almost every feeding.
You said you use chamalot chameleons king cricket feast...what's in it in the way of vitamin A, D3, calcium and phosphorus?

if it slaps from time to time after the first two crickets. i would start lightly dusting when you supplement. make sure your cham is getting proper hydration.

also the only chams i have witness doing this had mbd at one time.

how old are your u/v bulbs?

its beyond time of replacement. get a new uvb as soon as you can. he needs this to prevent mbd. please post a pic of him.

I'd ditch the zilla uvb light (I've never heard anything good about them, and have heard some bad reports on them) . I'd go with a tube style repti-sun 5.0 OR repti-glo 5.0
