hi can i use mario worms as a full time food supply for my veiled cham i will use diff food from time to time but cant handle crix they stink lol

Crickets, dubias and supers I believe should be the staple food with other insects as treats. I am sure someone else will jump in if I am wrong.

Also I have crickets too. If you clean the bins on a daily basis and remove any dead crix as soon as you see them it does not smell. We clean ours everyday and we dont have an issue.

Crickets wont stink much if you buy smaller crickets and, most importantly, keep up on cleaning their cage. You should be cleaning their cage all the time anyhow, stink or no stink.

I buy 1/2" crickets, even for my adult chameleons. They don't smell, don't chirp and don't die as fast and according to a very good source, are more valuable nutritionally than larger crickets.

Silk worms should not be used as a staple. They can be used often, but their bodies are so soft, your chameleon wont be getting the chitin it needs.

As you can or will see there are many different ideas that center around feeding. Crickets, dubias, supers and yes, even silkies are used by many as staple feeders. You can never go wrong with cricket. They are easy to handle and won't stink if you get yourself a cricket keeper with the tubes. Only get enough for one week at a time. You can even take your keeper to the pet store and have them put right into the keeper. By doing this, you can wash out the keeper before going to get your next batch. I use Cricket Crack, a dry food (I believe there are some dry foods available in pet stores) and water crystals. You can put a small piece of something fresh in the container, but that might make it smell. The dry food is a complete food.

Easy and inexpensive for one cham.
