Help!!

is it safe to put a zoo med reptisun 5.0 T5 15w linear bulb in a slightly higher watt Arcadia controller? I know you can’t put higher watt bulbs in lower watt fixtures because that’ll blow the bulb/get too hot/can cause fires. One of the only arcadia controllers I can find that’s t5 is 6/8watts! Anything with higher watts is t8. If it’s not then I think I’ll gave to buy the 14/15w arcadia controller (its T8) and buy the separate replacement t5 wires? Can anyone help/advise me with this? Is this safe to do?

I'd wait for an expert opinion but the way I remembered it:

Wattage = volt x amps

volts :: has to be the same as what the device/lamp requires.
amps :: has to be the same or more than the device/lamp requires.

So yes, it should be safe to use a higher wattage armature as long as the max voltage output stays the same as what your lamp requires (which should be the case).
