  • Supplements - I use calcium with out D3 everyday and calcium with D3 2 times a week and some herbtivite 2times every month.
  • Watering - I am useing a monsoon for automatic misting. And with a water enchanter. I spray down her laying bin just with a mister lizard jr. I see her drink a lot.
  • Fecal Description - Dropings a normal and yes.
  • History - Black spots have appeared all over but this one was the biggest.

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type- Screen
  • Lighting - I am using a 50 watt basking bulb which reaches a high of 90 degrees and a coiled uvb bulb.
  • Temperature - Lower down is about 50 degrees. Same as for night. No lights.
  • Plants - All Upper Plants are plastic. Lower are real that she likes to munch on
  • Placement - Just against my wall.
  • Location Southern Illinois

Current Problem - When I went to turn my chams lights on I noticed a odd looking black spot. She’s had one before on her back leg but faded away. I am pretty sure that it’s not her temperature. Maybe it’s a stress color? I just want to know.

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the dark spots but I noticed you're using a coiled UVB light I would switch that out for the tube UVB light the coiled one seem to hurt the chameleons eyes and just generally aren't that great and if you haven't changed or UVB light since you purchased it now would be a great time because you would want to change those out roughly about every six months

Yeah I’ve read things like that and I just changed it.:( But I will probably get the longer one. But thanks for replying!! I really appreciate it!

It was not as bad earlier but it seems like it is causing pain. It was almost her full side earlier

Yes she is a year and 6m she laided a few months ago I have a oversized flowerpot at the bottom of her cage w/ natural dirt.

Is there a thermal burn there on the ridge of the back and the top of the casque? I also see what appears to be one that is healing on the back leg at the joint. What is the basking temperature? 90 degrees should not cause that, but could be a bit too high. How are you measuring the temps?
