I'm about to add some actual plants to my enclosure and as wondering what type of soil to use. I have miracle grow at my house if that works. I'll be puttingrocks over the soil so Chet can't try to eat it.

Organic is usually preferred (no chemical fertilizers), but if you put stones over the soil and block any access to it, or should be fine.

Thank you lathis. Do you know any cheap organic soil and where to get it?

And is a plastic pot ok because I can't use clay.

plastic is fine.

I found a small bag at Lowes, inside where they keep the orchid potting material. It was $10, I think.
