Help?

I am getting 2 Panther chameleons (one female and one male)
But I am unsure of how to feed both? The same or different amounts? How often? I would really appreciate it if someone replied..

Each chameleon MUST be housed separately, so I'm not sure I understand your question. Gender does not change the amount fed. Check out the care resources (left hand side under navigation) for amounts to feed by age!

Start with a male, they are a bit easier to care for, let him get settled and polish your husbandry, then next year get female if you still want one. They will both need completely separate setups - that means separate cages, separate lights, plants, vines, etc. It easily doubles your initial costs.

They can't be housed together. If the breeder/seller tells you that, he is lying to sell more animals. It happens all the time, unfortunately.

Chameleons can be delicate animals, so you have a LOT of research to do before you even get one. Start on the main page of this forum, at the right side is a box that says "Start Here". Read every section carefully and memorize the caresheet by heart. It will give you everything you need to know on lights, water, supplements, temperature, humidity, food, gut loading, etc. Then come and ask any specific questions. The people here are great and are a wealth of knowledge. Ideally, you want your cage set up and running before your cham arrives. You also need to find a vet that specializes in chameleons. They can be hard to find, and you will eventually need one. Don't wait until your cham is sick.

Edit: I don't mean to sound all doom and gloom. Having a chameleon is immensely rewarding. They are absolutely fascinating and have such adorable personalities! They just have very specific and detailed needs - it's not for everyone as they can also be very pricey to get all the equipment, constantly buy insects, and vet costs. I I wish you the best of luck.
