I want to get a chameleon but my dad won't let me.

He thinks that they are stupid and useless

I would suggest doing your own research on them. Maybe if your dad see's that you have taken a legitimate interest in chameleons and are able to tell him about them, then he may change his mind.

If yes, you need to make your Dad understand how serious you are about it.
