Help with using Fluker's Repta+Boost

My chameleon hasn't eaten in 10 days. I believe this was due to an impaction as after a veterinarian gave him some lactulose, he defecated quite a bit the following morning, and again earlier this morning. Still, he refuses to eat any crickets I show him, and after purchasing some super worms he still seems to lack an appetite. After calling a DIFFERENT veterinarian I was recommended to use a product like Repta-Aid or something similar to it, in order to help stimulate the chameleon's diet. I have been recommended Repta+Boost on here so I just bought some. The directions are pretty straight forward but I was hoping for someone to walk me through it just to be safe - I want to take as few risks as possible. My chameleon is a Jackson Chameleon (xantholophus), male and over one year old now.

The instructions say that an animal that is severely malnourished/dehydrated should only be given 50% of their calories for the first 1-4 days. Animals that are mildly malnourished should be given 100% of their caloric needs. Since he has not eaten anything in 10 days I'd say he would need the 50%.

It also says that the calculations are based on animals being maintained at 86 degrees fahrenheit and that some variations based on temperature may be necessary.

Based on this, it seems that the Mixing Instructions are:

6 spoonfuls per 3cc of water

Dosage = 50% SMR (severe): 1.0cc

I normally just give one to one and a half of the syringes once a day for three or four days and then wait a few days and see if they will eat on their own. You can also mix a smashed worm with the boost. Silkworms are excellent to use.

Okay thank you I will see about getting some silk worms tomorrow. For now, I really just need to put something in his stomach.

1 - 1 1/2 for the measurements provided in the syringe, yes? Okay I will give him about that much - but how much of this power should I mix with water? It came with a cup (yet no spoon despite what the box says :/)

Well I gave him some. He didn't like having his mouth forced open but surprisingly, he showed no stress colours and was easier to deal with than I suspected.

Sometimes I can just put a little on their nose and they will start licking it. It must taste good. I also was the water that I mix with it. They seem to like that too.

I'm new here and have no idea how to do this

Hows your Jackson ? Did he start eating fairly soon after you gave him the Repta Aid ?
