Hello! I'm a pretty green owner... I only have one female veiled. I am looking to purchase either an Oustalet's or a Nosy Be. I like the size and demeanor of the Oustalet's (I am not looking for a pet I can hold, but at least a pet who won't bite or strike when I have to take him out of his enclosure), and I am drawn to the beauty of the Nosy Be. Also, while cost generally isn't a factor, I can purchase an Oustalet's for $200 less, so that is a bit of a factor as well. Can anybody provide any reasons that may sway me one way or the other?

there are no guarantees that an Oustalets or a Nosey Be will not bite or strike you. It is somewhat luck of the draw and how you interact with them. If you are suggesting that your Veild is mean and you are looking for a "friendly" chameleon there is no way to tell what you will get unless you buy an adult that has already been tamed by someone.

Thanks! I am definitely aware it's luck of the draw, and I have loved having my current cham around which is why I want another. She isn't mean by any stretch, just mouthy. :) I have decided to go with a Nosy Be and am pretty happy!

They are so pretty. I always said my next would be Nosey Be or Ambanja but I have the two Sambavas right now so unless something happened to one of them I have to refrain!
