I dunno how fast they multiply, but as for stinking, ive read oni here that they actually stink less than crickets.
I think i read somehwere that they breed quickly so you can always have feeders. but i wouldnt quote me on that.

Well, I am new to dubia but I can tell you they:

A. DO NOT STINK! They are WAAAYYY cleaner and less smelly than crickets! They are amazingly efficient at cleaning thier plates...I have never seen orange peels so clean!!

B. I have yet to have one get out, they do not jump, they do not fly, they cant climb on smooth (plastic/glass) surfaces. They dont actively try to escape, they actually run to hide more than anything else. You are in a warmer climate than I am, so fear of it living in the house is probably more valid (it gets so cold here they would die).

They don't stink unless you Put your face right in the tank and even then it's not all that bad. They are ridiculously easy to take care of and the only way they would get out is if you knocked there tank over. I say don't listen to your brother and try them out.

A. they have very little odor.

B. They can't climb smooth surfaces, don't jump, are relatively slow, and don't fly (males can hoover a bit with their wings but that is rare). There is a risk of any feeder escaping, but as long as you take all the proper precautions you should be fine.

I havn't had problems with ants at all, but since Dubai get so big I wouldn't think ants would bother with them. Its more likly that the ants would be trying to steal the Dubai food.

do they get attack by ants just how the crickets get attack by the ants?

I almost lost a whole colony with the ants thing. I couldnt seperate the 2, so i just grabebed as many dubias out and dumped the rest. Also i dont think its hot enough here for them to thrive and breed, but dont quote me on that,.
