Currently I have a baby veiled chameleon. Ive had it for two weeks. I have
-Zoomed Reptibreeze (screen cage) Small 16x16x20
-Reptisun 5.0 UVA/UVB
-Zoomed Basking bulb 75W
-Zoomed Night bulb 40W (gets cold over in Los Angeles at night)
-Zoomed Reptivite with D3
-Zoomed Repti Calcium without D3
(Do I Need other supplements?)

-Zoomed little dripper
-Spray bottle (to mist him)

Do I need anything else.... Im kinda concerned he doesn't like eating the crickets like he did when I got him. I think he is on a hunger strike. He also seems very shy /somewhat aggressive. He lately(pass two days) spends some time near the bottom of the cage not touching the floor but crawling on the side and some times even crawls upside down on the top of the cage. I think he is still exploring his cage but then I have a feeling that isn't healthy at the same time.

Help!!!

Help!!!

do you have a night, if you do take it out. whays your temps?

Supplement wise you should add one more, a multi vitamin, Herptivite.

Does it drop below 60F at night? If not you don't need a night bulb.
Is the ReptiSun 5.0 a linear tube or coil? Tubes are better.

Other than that, I'm sure that theres other things to change. I just can't pick them out. Im not a pro :p

Its about 68 degrees itll go to forty to fifty later. he doesn't let me hold him he trys to avoid me and will some what try to bite hes about 2 months old so it doesnt hurt. plus im scared im going to srtess him out...

Until it drops below 60F you dont need the night light.

leave him alone, if its dropn to 40-50 then the night light its fine. chameleons don't like to be handled. try not to.

Pretty sure veileds can handle a drop to the 50's just fine. I wouldn't use any night light at all it will disturb your cham.

Actually, night lights are no good period. You need a space heater to make the room warmer. A cham needs to have darkness so it isn't confused with regards to night and day.

There is no point in debating whether coil or linear is the issue. I doubt that would be the problem because what you're referring to is more for eye issues. It has been proven that certain coils are fine - many just prefer linear because there were no issues with them in the first place. I use exoterra 5.0 and 2.0 coil bulbs. I've had no problems. To each their own ..

From what I understand, chameleons actually need that drop in temperature at night. As you're in LA, there are few times the night temperature would be a problem. That's why you're being told to ditch the night light.

You can probably base it on your personal feelings. If you'd like to run a heater, then your chameleon might benefit from extra warmth. However, if you do use a heater, and you're close to the chameleon (and the chameleon isn't right next to a window) then that will probably be good enough. Make sure the cage is not under/over/next to a vent and up your misting during the day because the heater will dehydrate the air.

**edited to add**

Leilaskeeper's advice on a space heater is excellent and, if you don't heat your place, then you should definitely look at that option. If it were me, I'd check out ceramic radiant oil heaters. They are very, very safe.

I don't think any of those night lights are any good from what I understand chameleons see full spectrum lighting so it doesn't matter on the color, the cham can see it. Its like how they try to sell you basking bulbs that are a special blue when it doesn't matter a regular house bulb works just fine. The product companies just try to squeeze every last cent out of us herpers that they can.
