Help! Weird brown spot on my Chams tail?

Sorry I should have given some more info. I noticed this spot when we got him (about 1 month ago). He is 8 months old. I’m just not sure how concerned I should be about it? Looks like his colouring around the spot has changed a bit (like more red).
Again any help is much appreciated! We worry about this little guy.

Hard to say exactly what it is but I wouldn't be too worried about it. Just keep an eye on it and make sure it isn't getting any larger. If it continues to grow or start to swell up you might want to have him visit the vet to check it out but as of right now it doesn't look to be anything of concern.
