Help!! Urgent question!! Please answer!!

for the last 30 min. or so, my cham has had his mouth open. he seems to be panting! what should i do???!??!?!?!! please help!

is he somehow over heating? Is he under his basking light? Does he have any stringy looking saliva from the top of his mouth or mucous in the corners?

Is the temps too hot, or maybe something stressing him out?

Maybe you should fill in the "Ask for help form"

Often when My cham is out on my patio(which is much hotter than my house?) I will see him with his mouth open but I am pretty positive it is just to regulate his body temp. what I usually do is mist him down to cool him off. Have you tried misting him or revmoving him from the cage to a different cool spot and see if it continures?

ok thanks! i thought that but then again i just put in a new light bulb. maybe i read the wattage wrong!::eek:

also, he doesnt have any saliva or anything. colors are normal. ok! ill go get a new bulb!

ok he does not seem to be doing it anymore. i justed misted him really good. i think it might have been to dry and or hot. all of the water of when i misted him a few hours ago was evaporated.

You haven't filled out the How to Ask For Help Form yet.

It would be beneficial if you did. I know I've asked for it before and you hadn't posted it. Why avoid it?

sorry i havent kept updated but his mouth has finally been closed for about an hour and a half by now. i think hes ok. it stopped after i fed him. maybe he was just hungry, he hasnt had food for a good 3 days now. (yes i provided water to him dont worry). so yeah i think he might have been either hot, or hungry. but hes all good now.:)

You said you give him 8-10 crickets a day but in post #15 you said you hadn't fed him for 3 days. Do you feed him 24 to 30 crickets every 3 days then??????
