help, quad/montane owners

I'm wondering what everyone's feeding/supplementation schedule is for montanes, i hear they are sensitive to being given too much of either.

He must've eaten somewhere around 10 silkworms today (maybe more even? could be too small silkies), and this is going to be the staple feeder. Probably even more reason to cut back on the calcium, but I have all of them, Rep Cal with and without D3, and the Rep Cal Herptivite. I'm guessing at least one of those supplements shouldn't even be used, and how often should I feed him? Less than other chameleons?

I don't dust with D3 or the herptivite at all with my montanes.
2 times a week I dust with calcium and use a lot of fresh greens, fruits and vegetables in the gut load.
5.0 linear tube should provide enough UVB for him to produce his own D3.
Make sure you include a decent percentage of crickets/roaches/superworms in the diet ... silkworms do not have enough chitin to be an exclusive feeder.

All my quad get is plain calcium 2 times a week and very little even then. The same as you I have always been told not to over do on the supplements so I don't. Both mine are doing great.

Sorry Brad, I see you have it covered.

thanks, I'll definitely make sure he gets more than the silks alone as well. Do you guys find they eat less or that overfeeding is very problematic with them? I could've sworn I've heard of someone saying as little as twice a week for feeding, but that doesn't sound right to me.

I feed 3 to 4 feeders per adult animal 3 times a week.
5 to 7 for juvi's and the babies are getting fed every day.

okay, cool, i really appreciate this, simple as it was this was my last major concern for my quad. I think I have a good idea of how to go about meeting all his basic needs.

thanks again fellas :)
