Chameleon Info:
•Your Chameleon – Male Nosy Be about 8 months old
•Handling – I don’t usually handle him but usually once a month. Lately, he’s been trying to get out of his cage more so it’s been once a day for the last 4 days or so.
•Feeding – I usually feed him 10-12 small-medium sized crickets. I dust with calcium 5 days a week and reptivite with D3 twice a month. I gutload the crickets with Cricket Quench (with calcium), Orange cubes, lettuce and oatmeal. once or twice a month I will feed him waxworms.
•Supplements – see above.
•Watering – I mist him two – three times/day for 30-50 seconds at a time or until he stops drinking.
•Fecal Description – dark brown with a solid white urate(in most cases)
•History – Lately he’s been very active(much more than usual), he has been walking on the cage much more and is very interested in getting out of his cage.
Cage Info:
•Cage Type – 16x16x24 aluminum screen cage
•Lighting – reptisun 5.0 compact bulb (I know it’s not recommended but I’ve never had a problem), 50 watt basking spot lamp. I run the lights daily from 7am-8pm.
•Temperature – cage temp is udually 75-80 during the day and around 85-88 in his basking spot. The ground temp is usually about 70-73.
•Humidity – 40-60%
•Plants – No live plants.
•Placement – cage is located in the corner of my bedroom. No AC vents nearby but I keep the fan going to keep the air constantly circulating.
•Location – Mobile, Alabama
Current Problem –
My chameleon Sulley looks like he had some sort of anal prolapse and I don't know what to do. It went back in on it's own but I am very concerned. He just used the bathroom (on my carpet, no less) and it was very healthy (usual dark brown with solid white urate).
