honestly, you really do not have to. It is overkill! Just wash them with some soap and water, let dry in the sun and they will be fine. You can do you what you want, but I have never baked a branch yet and my chams are alive and kickin'!

I sanded them down to the white, and put them in the oven at 350 for 15minute and the grain has this dark tint to it in places now it looks pretty cool
