I have a female jackson chameleon. she is about 6 months old. behind her left eye it looks like it is swollen. it looks like it could be a cist. i have felt it and she does not act like it hurts her..she still is eating. i am just scared that something is seriously wrong with her...has anyone ever heard of that?

Before we can help to the best of our abilities, please fill out this form.. Pictures are helpful

You have not yet filled out the ask for help form, so this is only a possible guess: you said you felt it and it does not hurt her and she is generally acting normal. Chameleons do flush fluid behind their eyes (it looks like they are puffing their eyeball out) in order to moisten the eye as well as stretch the skin in that area to pop off shed. In otherwords, chams do that, lol. But, we need to know what all the info is, and pics do really help.:)

definitely not much anyone can do without more info, there was a recent thread on another forum (addressed by a member of this forum)http://forums.kingsnake.com/view.php?id=1775224,1775224 as previous posters have stated, it would neccessary to fill out the help form in its entirety in order to get a meaningful response. whenever i hear of eye problems, lighting issues are always suspect , but lighting issues are by no means the only possible cause, so be sure to include detailed lighting info and whether it is cfl or linear, (squigly or long straight tube)

Is the bump near the corner of the mouth and completely separate from the eye turret? If so it could be an infection in the gland there. A picture would really help!
