Help!! Panther with URI,

I have a panther with an uri. Took to vet and have him on injectible baytril but am wondering what else I can do that can insure a recovery and help him along. The vets out east are very basic when it comes to cameleons and they are more medically experienced but I need some advice on good old tlc husbandry( the little things sometimes matter the most)

Raise the basking temp a little, perhaps by 4-5*F and give him warm showers. And if it's nice outside, put him outside for a few hours as often as you can. In essense, you're trying to "cook" the infection out of him. Now, don't take it literally lol But the sun is excellent in helping chameleon immune systems and raising the temps a few degrees will also help fight off the infection.

However, I've only ever given Baytril orally, I don't know much about injecting it. My vet always strays away from that, but some vets like it.

Good luck!
