Help on tail of my jacksons

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1337953268.522884.jpg Just got my Jackson and he has this scab on the end of the tail. Does anyone know if there's any treatment?
 
I think it's either a retained shed like Camimom said, or a scab like you first suggested, or a burn. If you could get a better picture we could be sure. :)
 
I believe his tail has been broken at some point in time.

This will heal more and more as he gets older, in my experience.

It looks like my panther's tail, after I stepped on him.:eek:

My guys tail is perfect now, 5-6 months after the injury.

I had a thread on it, but the attached pics have been removed.

Ill see if I can find them again.
 
It does look like an old injury. I dont see any infection or anything so i believe time will mend. Just keep an eye on it make sure you see no inflammation or swelling.
 
I have 2 Cham with similar looking tails. One was bit by its sister when they were babies and has always looked like that. The othe is a female quad who always has a ring of retained shed that is tight around the end of her tail. I use a qtip dipped in mineral oil and gently rub it off.
