Help needed

Hello, I have just bought my first Chemeleon which when In the tank is a light green. Anytime I have handled it it really shows a pattern down it’s side.
Does this mean he is not happy?

If you just got her she is likely to see you as a threat. They do not enjoy handling, and veiled's in general have a lot of attitude, and most hate handling, or barley tolerate it. My guy hates my guts. Because you have a female they may end out a bit more mellow, but its not recommended to handle them a lot ( especially when you first get them) Give her time to settle.
 
Thank you for the reply’s, is it definitely a girl as the guy in the pet shop pointed out the spikes on the back legs and said it was Male
